The Art Corner: 9-time Hugo Award winner Bob Eggleton--Science Fiction book cover artist, "Necroscope" artist and Toho "official" Godzilla artist--and his wife, Marianne Plumridge, author and children's book illustrator. "Meet the Artists" reception October 3, 6:00 -9:00 pm at the Art Corner 231 Washington Street. Wine and cheese will be served. Salem Arts Association Gallery: John Patterson: A Halloween Valentine to Salem John Patterson lives in Newry, Northern Ireland and as a tribute to the city he spent a short time in during the early 90's, has painted 12 Salem Landmarks in his signature style. The exhibit will run from October 2 - November 2 in the Salem Arts Association Gallery in Salem's Artists' Row. Hours are Thursday through Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday's 12 Noon to 6 pm. Old Town Hall: The Best of the Macabre ANYWHERE! Terror Fantasies has been in existence for almost twenty years and showcases "outside the box" talent from around the world! This year will be NO EXCEPTION! The Best of the Best will be featured! Opening reception October 10, 7-9pm. Washington Square Studio, on the Common: Features the imagination of local maestro Charles Lang. Low Brow, Surrealism, Fantasy, Horror, Pumpkins, are Chuck's speciality. Check 'em out! Opening Reception TBA. Kensington/Stobart Gallery, at the Hawthorne Hotel: Showcases another "Black Cat Tours Salem" addition by Wendy Snow-Lang, featuring the originals from last year and this, posters from the last five years and a Special Book of the Black Cat's adventures as he visits the sights in Salem! Other artists will be featured as well. Opening reception TBA. |
